"Sprinty" (1985sprinty)

Well it has been two weeks since I received a free 1994 Ford Taurus GL. Day 2 of owning it resulted in a cracked radiator.
The radiator has been repaired, but the starter motor is going out as well. Any tips? Ideas? Sources for cheap, good parts?

This is the first i've heard of this free taurus, please provide a link if you posted about it before. There is one in my apartment complex just like this one but in mint condition and rust free. I almost want to leave a note on it to see if they would sell it but I have no space since we already have 3 cars. I always like these old taurus I can picture Robocop every time I see one.

Free cars are the best cars. Here's my free car:

maybe it was more than a couple weeks, but the car is a literal Grandma Car, kept in great condition other than the headliner and peeling window tint. Completely rust free and 128,000 miles. Loving it, except when it doesn't start. I keep a hammer and long screw driver to 'convince' her to work.
And for Arrested Development fans out there, I've dubbed her Lucille

Well if that is a 323, I'm kicking my butt about one I found earlier this summer. It was a 323 hatch, 70xxx miles, 5 speed manual with no rust for $1500. A guy's grandfather owned it since new, and barely drove it. Basically show-room condition.
I had no money at the time and was so bummed out.

Redacted because I forgot Oppo rule 1 and 2.

I have found that long-term parking lots at big airports are a surprisingly affordable place to find car parts. Though I don't think there's many 90's Tauruses (Taurii?) to be found in them anymore.

I've had pretty good luck with rockauto.com. Of course, there's always the junk yards.

It is a 323 this one has 100,000 miles and it's auto :( but it was free and it runs like a champ. it is virtually rust free but the paint is super faded. these things are tanks they will run forever or until they rust out.
